Dimitrovgrad Engineering and Technical Institute as a branch of National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” was established by order of Ministry of Defense No. 206 dtd February, 18th, 2011 as part of two universities – Ulyanovsk State Technical University and Ulyanovsk State University.
Government of Ulyanovsk region, State Research Centre “Atomic Reactor Research Institute” JSC, and NRNU MEPhI took part in the project.
The main aim of Dimitrovgrad Engineering and Technical Institute is to create the basis and the conditions for preparing experts in nuclear technologies and nuclear medicine.
In accordance with the certificate issued by Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, DETI offers full-time and part-time modes of study. It consists of the following departments: of Physics and Engineering, of Information Technology, of Social Economics, of Part-time Studies, of Professional Development, Dimitrovgrad College of Computer Science and Management, of Pre-University Training. There are 12 graduate departments and 6 educational departments. The institute provides training of bachelors in 10 specialist fields, of specialists in 4 fields of higher vocational education, as well as in 6 programs of secondary vocational education.
