June, 17 thru 19, 2013, experts of CNCAN (Comisia Nationala de Control a Activitatilor Nucleare) of Romania audited QMS at Scientific Production Company Sosny LLC for the correspondence to Romanian legal requirements to the suppliers of services for research reactors and units of nuclear fuel cycle in Romania.
CNCAN experts analyzed the quality assurance documents, management processes, as well as the practice of QMS implementation in all the departments. The first management system control of this kind was held in 2011, and since then a significant improvement in Sosny LLC activity has been noticed. To be more exact, supplier management, archivation processes, and regulatory control have been upgraded.
As a result of the audit, the license for management, project and engineering works on Romanian research reactors and units of nuclear fuel cycle, issued for SPC Sosny LLC by CNCAN in 2011, is to be prolonged for two years.
