Sergey Efarov, Head of Environmental Operations Division, reported to the members of street committees of Dimitrovgrad about the ecological activities of ARRI. He told about a specially developed control system aimed at protecting the environment, and managing legal ecological issues. Answering numerous questions of the participants, the official representative stressed that SRC ARRI has efficient multilevel control systems: of mineral resources status monitoring which controls the quality of sub-waters and the status of LRW storage facilities; analysis and control system; unified control system of radiation safety; automated control system of radiation environment; station of SC Rosatom Crisis and Management Center, and Industry Expertise Center of collection and analysis of information on safety of nuclear research installation. Sergey Efarov pointed out that “ecological safety is the main priority of ARRI, this principle is the foundation for the concept of stable growth of the enterprise.” For more information about the ecological activities of ARRI go on www.niiar.ru, where you can find annual publications. In the end of November, on the meeting of the Ecological chamber of the Ulyanovsk region, ARRI rendered a report on its ecological activities. The Chamber suggested that the media use this report for the fact-based informing of the population about the job one of the largest scientific centers of SC Rosatom does.
