By his order No. 623-пр dtd. September, 12th, 2013, Head of Ulyanovsk Government approved Dimitrovgrad nuclear innovation cluster development program
The cluster development program is a follow-up of Social and Economic Development Strategy held in the Ulyanovsk region up to 2020. Development of innovational economy, including with the help of cluster approach, is set as a long-term priority for the Ulyanovsk region.
Among key tasks set by the Program there are more than 100 events aimed at:
– development of innovation activities;
– extension of infrastructure of corresponding international activities;
– effective geographical expansion of the Cluster influence, including – world markets of hi-tech products and services;
– ensuring the enlargement of application areas of existing technological abilities of cluster members;
– ensuring faster growth of urban environment on the cluster area;
– ensuring necessary facilities to make educational system more efficient, compliant to the international standards.
By 2020 – 2022, the nuclear innovational cluster is predicted to present a net of geographically localized interrelated production companies, research institutes, higher educational institutions, tech parks, business incubators: suppliers of various equipment and components, infrastructure objects providing specialized services, as well as other organizations supporting each other and strengthening competitiveness of certain companies and the region on the whole
