As part of the second stage of the Tour the experts visited Ulyanovsk. Throughout the whole day the experts of Russian innovational market and venture institutions visited presentation shows of Ulyanovsk projects and workshop sessions for young scientists and entrepreneurs, as well as discussed various problems. The delegation from Dimitrovgrad consisting of new entrepreneurs, students and professors of DITI NRNU MEPhI also took part in Russian Startup Tour.
The expert group consisted of members of Ulyanovsk Government, Skolkovo Fund, RVC Seed Fund, and Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
In total, there were 15 various projects to discuss by the Jury.
To sum it up, the experts mentioned that it was hard to make a choice among the Ulyanovsk projects, since there were a lot of great ones – especially, in the sphere of biomedical technologies. But still they needed to decide which project is the best and the winners are: “Self-dissolvable Vena Cava Filter” by Leonid Gluschenko, “DIP Multiphase flow meter” by Sergey Shumilin, and “Safe Food” by Andrey Redkin. All of them were invited to take part in the international Startup Village conference, Innocity of Skolkovo, and were offered an opportunity of non-competitive pitch-sessions bypassing pre-qualification. The experts paid specific attention to the development project of a diagnostic test-system for salmon aeromonoses by Denis Viktorov. He got a pass to the final part of “UMNIK” TV program, the victory in which guarantees investments of up to 400 thousand rubles (13 thousand USD – editor).
