On June 29 and 30, in the Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity, a regional stage of one of the flagship projects of NPO “Russia - a Country of Opportunities” was held. Participants worked on prototypes of digital products in several nominations.
The welcome speech to the participants of the regional semi-final was sent by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kiriyenko. According to him, the competition creates opportunities to express themselves, find a team, develop a new product. “The contest will allow you to change your life: get a job, open your business and propose new technological solutions. In addition, you can change the life of the country by participating in the implementation of national projects and bringing Russia closer to this digital breakthrough. But it will be real only when its positive impact is felt by everyone in everyday life: in the urban environment, in health care, education and public services, in the work of transport and utilities. I am sure that you will succeed with the “Digital Breakthrough”! And you will succeed in Russia too”.
Recall that the “Digital Breakthrough” competition is part of the “Russia is a land of opportunity” platform, created at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the regional level, the event was organized by NPO "Center for the Development of the Nuclear Innovation Cluster of the City of Dimitrovgrad" with the support of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Competition of the Ulyanovsk Region and the Information Technology Development Fund.
“The Ulyanovsk region has a powerful potential for the development of the IT industry. It is not a secret for anyone that the existing mechanism of any industry is people, therefore we are interested in the development of human resources in the field of information technology. All teams are charged for serious work on the creation of innovative projects. I am sure that the solutions and developments of these specialists will contribute to improving the quality of life of the population, both in the region and in the country”, said Sergey Morozov.
During 36 hours of continuous hackathon, teams of IT specialists, designers and managers created truly breakthrough technological solutions. Themes of the tasks for the contestants correspond to the topics relevant for the regions within the framework of the national project “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. The task that the participants solved in the direction of “Housing and Public Utilities and the Urban Environment” was formulated by the Ulyanovsk Region.
“The industry is developing in the Ulyanovsk region, innovative productions are being created, new high-tech projects are being implemented. The region needs to attract qualified IT-specialists. The “Digital Breakthrough” competition allows participants not only to express themselves, but also, by joining teams, to create prototypes of projects in the field of health care, as well as housing and public utilities and the urban environment. The teams that showed the best results will be able to take part in the final, which will be held in Kazan in the fall, and also receive job offers from leading companies in the country, ”said Sergei Kolyada, head of the press service of the“ Russia is a country of opportunities ”NPO.
Recall that in the Ulyanovsk region applications for participation in the "Digital Breakthrough" filed more than six hundred people.
Digital solutions developed during the on-site stage of the competition were evaluated by an expert jury, which included representatives of companies, universities and regional authorities.
At the opening ceremony of the hackathon, Sergey Morozov agreed to act as an expert on the jury.
“I believe that people promoting the development of the digital economy are the main drivers of progress. It is they who give rise to ideas that in the future develop into breakthrough products that change the lives of people, as well as state and private companies. I wish the specialists from Ulyanovsk to develop just such solutions that can not only conquer the jury members, but also really change many socially significant spheres of life of Russian citizens. I wish everyone good luck and new victories, and remember that the future is in your hands! ”, Commented Julia Savicheva, a participant in the contest“ Digital Breakthrough ”and the semi-finalist of the contest“ Leaders of Russia ”.
The award ceremony for the winners of the regional stage of the competition was held on June 30 at 20.00. The best participants will go to the largest hackathon of the country, which will be held in September of this year in Kazan.
