A resident company of the nuclear innovation cluster entered the TOP of the leaders of the eighth annual national ranking of Russian high-tech fast-growing companies TECHUP -2019.
The research and production company "Sosny" was formed to solve auxiliary problems in providing post-reactor studies of spent nuclear fuel from power reactors in the protective chambers of the materials science complex of the SSC RIAR. The main activities of NPF Sosny LLC now are research and development in the field of nuclear energy, including: research and development of technologies for handling spent nuclear fuel, including substandard or damaged; design, construction and manufacturing of equipment for nuclear industry enterprises; calculations to justify radiation and nuclear safety of technologies and equipment, strength and thermal calculations; design, construction, manufacture, maintenance of automated systems for technological control and management, radiation monitoring systems; development and installation of pool inspection stands for nuclear power plants, including measuring and automation equipment; organization of transportation of nuclear materials with the development and justification of safe transportation schemes; development and manufacture of equipment for loading and transportation of spent nuclear fuel. In 2014, Dimitrovgrad established its own pilot production facility equipped with modern equipment.

Recall that the TechUspech rating is a tool for searching, monitoring and promoting promising fast-growing technology companies that have high leadership potential both in the Russian and global markets. The rating has been carried out by RVC JSC together with partners since 2012. Since 2016, the rating has also been the basis for the search and selection of Russian technology companies for participation in the priority project of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia “Support for Private High-Tech Leading Companies” (“National Champions”).
Participants in this project receive a "green wave" when applying for state support. In 2016 - 2018, 84 companies were already selected from the rating base to participate in the National Champions project. In 2019, it is planned to additionally select 30 companies in the “National Champions” project.
Also, a feature of the 2019 rating was its focus on identifying fast-growing technology companies that are promising in the context of new markets of the National Technology Initiative (STI) and their projects that can be further supported through STI tools and project partners.
