The 75th Anniversary of the Nuclear Industry has been eventful

On the eve of the celebration of the professional holiday of nuclear scientists in the Scientific and Cultural Center. E.P. Slavsky opened an exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the nuclear industry. Dimitrovgrad became the first of 25 cities where Rosatom enterprises are present, where it was decided to present this large-scale exposition, which includes archival documents, historical photographs, genuine objects, and multimedia installations. The exhibition has been prepared as a historical and cultural project that allows to present the main directions of development of the Russian nuclear industry in the general context of the country's history and the realities of the modern world.

Employees of SSC RIAR, members of their families, employees of city organizations took part in festive events dedicated to the Day of the Nuclear Industry Worker and the 75th anniversary of the industry. Within two days, more than a hundred employees of the institute were awarded state, departmental and regional awards. Thus, Andrey Vorobei, Chief Engineer of SSC RIAR, and Alexander Zvir, Deputy Director for Production, were awarded with a certificate of honor of the President of the Russian Federation for merits in the development of the nuclear industry and many years of conscientious work. The award ceremony was held by the Deputy General Director of ROSATOM for Science and Strategy Yuri Olenin.

The festive concerts were held at the "Builder" stadium. The co-organizer was ANO "TsRK". For the audience, a program was prepared with the participation of local creative groups, a drum show, fireworks, a performance by the Gorod 312 group and the famous Russian singer Pelageya. More than 10,000 residents of the city watched the online broadcast of the concert; more than 2,000 people were seated in the stands of the stadium. Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom, addressed the residents of Dimitrovgrad by video link with words of congratulations. The event was opened by the director of the institute Alexander Tuzov. The Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Sergey Morozov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

17 representatives of the Arkhangelsk, Voronezh and Novgorod regions - winners and laureates of the All-Russian contest "Atoms are Near!", became guests of honor at the evening festive concert. They congratulated the nuclear scientists from the stage and presented one of their best works - a story about the production of californium-252 with the participation of employees of the reactor research complex and the department of radionuclide sources and preparations.

Dimitrovgrad joined the large teleconference “Calling of nuclear cities”. The air, which lasted five hours, showed stories about Dimitrovgrad, about the institute, congratulations to Russian atomic scientists from the governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergei Morozov sounded.
