In 2013 more than 300 full-time and part-time students successfully graduated from Dimitrovgrad Engineering Technological Institute, 45 of them got diplomas with high honors.
The ceremony started with the graduates’ procession. To the strains of the musical band the graduates, dressed in gowns, paraded from Building 1 of DETI NRNU MEPhI to Scientific and Design Center n.a. E.P. Slavskiy. The parade was headed by Acting Head of Dimitrovgrad administration, Deputy Director, Heads of Departments, and professors.
At SDC n.a. E.P. Slavskiy the graduates were welcomed by officials, visitors and parents.
The welcome ceremony was opened by Ivan A. Sagan, Head of DETI NRNU MEPhI, who congratulated all the graduates and together with the officials presented the diplomas with honors.
The following officials welcomed and congratulated the graduates: Alexander Baryshev, Acting Head of Dimitrovgrad administration; Oleg Grechnikov, Industrial Policy Adviser Governor; Tatyana Petryakova, leading specialist, expert at Education Ministry of Ulyanovsk region; Tatyana Romanovskaya, Head of Education Board of Dimitrovgrad; Vladimir Kalygin, Sciences and Innovation Deputy Director of SSC ARRI JSC; Viacheslav Krupnov, Head of HR Dpt. at DAAZ JSC; Irina Zhivaykina – chief accountant at SSC ARRI JSC; Olga Nazarkina – Cross Country World Champion, World class athlete, Head of “Neutron” physical culture school for children and young people; Olga Abramkina – Vice Chairman of the Urban Committee of Dimitrovgrad Administration; Natalia Yadykina – Head of Ulyanovsk regional state public welfare institution in Dimitrovgrad.
On this day all of the students, professors and officials were dressed in gowns. For the graduates, the gown and the graduation hat are a symbol of a new stage in life, a symbol of hope for great changes; for the professors, they are a symbol of wisdom and an accessory of an academic degree. The ceremony was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere and ended with a photo shoot.
